North Indian Culinary Tour

Overview

This journey is a celebration of the senses — of taste and the sacred — an exploration of the deep connection between what we eat, what we believe, and who we are.

Together, we’ll explore a region where food is a ritual, spirituality is lived, and culture is shared in everyday moments. From langars that feed thousands in silence, to mountain kitchens where Tibetan grandmothers roll momos by hand, every stop reveals a new layer of meaning. We’ll sit cross-legged on temple floors, sip chai with wandering sadhus, dance to desert rhythms, explore the subtleties of spices and cook with local families who open their homes and hearts.

The itinerary also explores India’s great spiritual traditions: Sikhism in Amritsar, Tibetan Buddhism in Dharamshala, and vibrant Hinduism in Jaipur. Each city becomes a meeting point of flavors, beliefs, and new perspectives on the world.

This is not just about seeing India — it’s about feeling it through your senses, your stories, your palate.

We stay in simple, comfortable double rooms, choosing modest accommodations over luxury. This conscious choice not only makes the journey more accessible and respectful but also opens space for true encounters. These are the moments that give the journey its deepest meaning.

A nomadic experience of flavor, spirit, and human connection.

Veer

– traveler, cultural curator, storyteller, and seeker of truth –

After graduating in Technology in Delhi, I stepped away from the corporate world to follow a deeper calling: to explore the world and create journeys that awaken the soul.

Living across three countries and traveling through more than 20 has taught me that true adventure lies not just in places, but in the connections we make along the way — with people, traditions, and ourselves.

Through The Sangha Project, I co-create transformative experiences that blend eco-conscious travel, ancient wisdom, and meaningful cultural exchange. These journeys are invitations — to slow down, to listen deeply, and to rediscover the sacred in the everyday.

Let’s walk this path together — with curiosity, with intention, and with open hearts.

Itinerary

Delhi - Amritsar

-Sikhism & Sacred Service | 7 - 9 Feb

We welcome you at Delhi airport and take you to the hotel to rest and meet the group. The next morning, we board a train to Amritsar, spiritual center of Sikhism and Veer’s hometown. At the heart of the city stands the breathtaking Golden Temple, a sanctuary of stillness, equality, and divine presence inviting both quiet reflection and deep connection. Here, we’ll experience seva (selfless service) in the vast community kitchen where over 100,000 meals are shared daily. Beyond the temple, we’ll also explore the city’s vibrant culinary scene—savoring legendary Amritsari kulchas and street-side delights that reflect Punjab’s rich food heritage. And we will dive deeper into the region’s flavors with a hands-on Punjabi cooking class led by a local chef.

McleodGanj

-Mountains, Mindfulness & Tibetan Wisdom | 10 - 13 Feb

We journey up to the Himalayan village of Dharamkot, nestled above McLeod Ganj, home of the Dalai Lama. In this peaceful mountain setting, you'll spend a day with a Tibetan monk, exchanging ideas and daily practices rooted in Buddhist philosophy. We’ll take part in a Tibetan cooking workshop, go for a gentle hike to Gallu Waterfall, and enjoy quiet moments to simply breathe, rest, and reconnect. These few days offer a deeper connection — to yourself, to others, and to the stillness of the mountains.

Jaipur

-Rajasthani Art of Living | 14 & 15 Feb

After experiencing an overnight train journey—an essential and unforgettable part of Indian travel—we arrive in Jaipur, the vibrant Pink City. As we share chai, snacks, and stories with fellow passengers, this journey becomes a beautiful window into everyday Indian life. In Jaipur, we settle into a charming guesthouse and discover the richness of Rajasthani cuisine during a private cooking class. The next day, we explore the majestic Amber Fort and immerse ourselves in the colors, rhythms, and spiritual traditions of Hinduism—visiting temples and sacred spaces that reflect the city’s deep mystical heritage.

Delhi

-Traditions, Flavors & Closing Circle | 16 & 17 Feb

We return to Delhi for the final leg of our journey. Together, we’ll explore the historic lanes of Chandni Chowk, discovering its famed spice markets, street food, and sacred sites. Our final evening will be a closing circle, where we come together to reflect, integrate, and celebrate the unforgettable moments we've shared before your departure the next day.
